Your help is needed, I mean: I need your help!

I’m about to start analysing the results from the Mittins surveys that have been a regular feature on this blog from its earliest days. Many people have let us have their views on the sentences the past few years, for which I’m very, very grateful. But the number of respondents is still some way off from the 457 people who filled in the survey in the late 1960s.

So if you haven’t already filled them in, could I please encourage you to do so now, so that I may get closer to the total Mittins results, and so get more reliable results? And please ask your friends to help out as well. I’ll really be immensely graetful for your help. The target figure is 500 altogether, not a high number in view of our daily visitors  and our fans …

You will find the surveys here. By way of encouragement: we are interested in first reactions, so there is no need for you to spend a lot of time thinking about the appropriateness of the sentences in the contexts indicated.
